Question about other parts when cams are installed

So I am close to getting some cams, while I have the valve covers off should I put in the newer style VCT solenoids since mine is a 2006? Should I spend the money on FRPP rockers and lash adjuster kit? Ford says the parts are just standard issue what came from the factory, but on American Muscle they say they are lighter, stronger, and have better fit. Right now the car doesn't have any ticking or issues, just would rather do any/all of this when the covers are off and the cams are out. Thoughts? Oh yeah, the car only has 6k miles on it too.

IMO no to anything you mentioned unless it's broken, I'm still running the original lash adjusters and followers that came with the car and I think you mean the new phasers design not vct. 6k is just wearing in and I never heard of a difference from OEM and FRPP lash and followers "better fit" I question that, I think they're the same thing. OEM/FRPP parts are the ones you want to have especially the phasers if you have to replace.

I am talking about the second generation solenoids that have a built in check valve. I am planning on leaving the phasers alone.

Ok got ya, didn't know they came out with a new design for the solenoid, I deleted mine a while back but never had problems with the originals. What's the reason for the new design, Noise, cam position holding power, Oiling?

I'm not sure, but if I had to guess I would say the older style without the check valve lose their prime and could contribute to noise at start up. Mine work, so I'm not sure how bad the old design is.
