Can we get a gear drive timing set on the modular motors like you can on pushrod motors? Those things sound like a supercharger whine too, and some of them are crazy loud. Not sure if that would work or not, being that the cams are up in the heads instead of below the valley right next to the crank like a pushrod motor.

Whipple 2.3l whines pretty good WOT. In fact, when I'm WOT I can't hear my exhaust at all, all I hear is blower whine.

hey guys... i got a question about super chargers, mainly twin screws such as the kenne bell.

how come on the 03/04 cobra the kenne bell whine is so ridiculously loud (which i like... ) but on our 05+ you can't even hear the whine from outside???

may be a stupid question but i've always wondered that

Because they have to push more Boost, I was told yesterday at my tuner that a cobra with 5psi would not even make 400rwhp like the 3v does.

My Saleen SC is audible from the cabin, not sure about outside but would imagine so. That's with the closed Saleen airbox too (not the Extreme version either). Makes the throttle blip a lil' more fun for the ears too.

Mine 2.4L KB has never been loud... even at 18psi. It is quieter than all of the Saleens and Whipples I have heard in person. I prefer it quiet, too.
