Hey guys,

So after reading around for a while, most people with similiar mods trap around 106 107...

Why the hell does mine trap 111?

I ran a 12.7 @ 111 1.8 60ft (pb) and made plenty of back up passes, earlier that day I was only hitting 13.2 and 13.1s and trapping the said 106...took a break for about 15 mins lowered the tire pressure and adjusted my suspension and bam I'm doing 12s and picked up 5 mph LOL

Can anyone explain this? It was cooler out when I was running the 12s but not by much, I was also on blown lca bushings lol

Well, back to back passes will result in heat soak and the car starts pulling timing.

But, to go from 106 to 111 not only in the same day, but only 15 min later? With no changes power wise to the car? I am thinking the track was having problems with the timing/mph system.

I have seen many cars pick up 4 mph with no changes, but that was when lets say you ran 106 mph in August with 100 degree temps vs cool Feb temps in the 60's---where the DA went from 3500+ feet to some good mineshaft air.

I was thinking that too, right after that pass I did bout 4 passes back to back and hit 111 every time.

It was actually at some import showdown but they let me run anyways I just couldn't compete for prizes, once my car went from 13.2 to 12.7 (making me the fastest street car there LOL) everyone came over to see what I had but didn't believe me when I listed my mods

Also, that 15 minute cool down session did include a bag of ice on the intake manifold.

it seems as though you are spinning a little somewhere... could pick up a tenth or 2, but loose 2 or 3 mph.

if u spin u would pass at a faster mph, the wind direction may cause a change also. and who r u comparing it with? 4.10s prob did u keep runing the same time. i went from a 8.1 at 81.9 mph to a 7.8 at 87.5 mph with the 26" drag radials and the 4.10s

Were you running DR's or street tires at this time. and if Street tires at what psi did you have them at?

I have less mods than you and trap 110. I don't think 110-111 is off for good air in MD. I am guessing you are racing at MIR or Cecil, both of which can have negative DAs and the DA can change dramatically in a short time. I would also guess you might have been shortshifting the earlier passes or possibly having a clutch problem.

Last year at Mason Dixon I picked up 4/10's by improving my 60' from 2.1 to 1.95. The only change I made was tire pressure. I can't believe those DR's stayed on the wheels at 10 psi... it was like driving with 2 flats. LOL

And yes, my numbers that day are some shitty 60' times for DR's. I had some major suspension problems at the time.

I can make a run with car totally cool, and head right back and make another run and my time increases normally by a min of .2, 80 + degree days compared to a 55 degree night is approx .35, talking about an ego stomper.......lol
