Questions about air supply

Im not a huge fan of compressors, heat, noise, condensation, etc.

Can this kit be used on a nitrous set up? A few of my friends have bagged trucks on it, just wondering if that was an option here.

I think maybe you mean nitrogen? Yes it can be used with nitrogen, you would just have to find the space to mount the tank.

Lol wow um yeah that just happened. I was writing that while shitting and crusing a jegs mag. Yeah nitrogen. Would there be any benefits to using nitrogen with this system? Just throwing around some ideas to see what ones stick.

Ha! No worries. Nitrogen will fill up the bag faster than a conventional compressor system will, and you loose the compressor noise.

The only real issues I would see is that nitrogen tanks are usually pretty big, and the fact that you need to take them somewhere to get filled all the time. Just my 2 cents....

you can always order a second compressor, and the Viair compressors come in multiple models, the 380c is the one with the kit if i remember, the 480c's are pretty damn nice, fill faster, 2 of them will cut it in half.

with 2 compressors the noise wont last long, get some isolators for the feet so vibration doesnt get transmitted through the body, quicker it fills the less heat it will produce. Get water traps + a drain line in the tank to occasionally purge.

Get Air Zenith OB2 compressors. Awesome compressors and they kick ass over Viair. The CFM ratings are more than 2x's as much.

I went from dual 400c's at about 2.85 cfm's I think it was to 2 AZ compressors at 8.5 cmf's

I can fill my 5 gallon tank from 0 to 200 in a matter of seconds, not minutes

Yes, bigger compressors would be nice. Nitrogen would be sweet and temps wouldn't effect the system pressures, BUT, you would burn thru a tank quick! I didn't think I would mess with my system a lot, but I drop my car in every parking lot and almost dropped it at the light earlier...HAHA You can't stop playing with this damn thing once you get it.

Seeing as you are as trigger happy as I would be about smashing the buttons, I have a few questions for you

How much can you hear the compressor? How long did it run once you raised off of a full drop. Was heat an issue? I want one so fucking bad!!!!

I don't notice the heat, it hasn't caught fire yet...LOL You can definitely hear the compressor, it runs for a couple mins then kicks off. Usually I have music loud as hell, so I don't even notice it. Definitely add some extra rubber under it and maybe add a second compressor or larger one. I love the fact I can air up my tires now when leaving the track. I don't see heat ever being an issue for me. I can say my car rides so much fricking better! I use to pucker my ass every time I saw a bump coming, now I don't even worry about it. Soaks up the bumps much better and just flat looks bad ass! I remember doing my KR springs and thinking I wish it was just a little bit lower, with air ride you can put it wherever you want, whenever you want.

We are getting ready to release compressor isolater's which drastically cut down on compressor noise. It is basically a fancy spring loaded compressor bracket.
