We run a 265/40-18 MT Drag Radial on the stock 18" wheels.

Best sixty is a 1.50.

Not a bad idea but since she has to drive to work I don't want to just put tires on the stock wheels. If I can find a set of factory wheels that would be great because I would love the stock look.

Thinking a 15x8 racestar with a 275/60/15"

Ordered the control arms yesterday and they were here by noon today. Will put them on tonight.

Car was shifting a 7k, going to bump it up to 7200-7300 and firm up the shifts. That should help too.

i have managed to get a 12.73 out of my 2012 a6 on stock tires. my best 60' is a 2.0 and am running BMR relocation brackets and BMR springs. i still think i could pick up a little more from my 60'.

Our track and DA up here suck so 13.0 is pretty damn good. Just got the BMR lowers on. Next mods will probably be 15x8" racestars with 275/60/15 MT ET streets. Should be good enough for 12.5-12.6s.

Went and logged it. AFR is 11.7s and shifting at 6500-6600. Adjusting that should be worth a few 10ths. Control arms seem to work well on the street.

Friday night. I better see 12s.

By the end of the year I want the 5.0 running 12.2s and the vette running 10.0s. Both should be pretty easy.

If you are launching by letting off the brake and hitting the gas, try holding the brake a bit longer so the car doesnt do that "dead roll" before the convertor locks in. It will bring your 60 down a little bit.

Ex: Instead of Brake Off then Foot to Floor, try Foot to Floor then Brake Off.

Good idea. Got the tuned adjusted to shift 1/2 and 2/3 at 7100 and I should be able to ride out the 3/4 shift. That alone should be good for a few tenths.

She said as long as I don't break it, and I pay for the mods I can do just about anything. She said don't make it loud or ride too rough. Other than that she doesn't care.

Trying to get her out to race it so we can take both cars out but she rather stay at home reading a book with a glass of wine then mess with the racetrack.

If you are still running stock tires, expect the rear to kick sideways in the 1-2 shift.

Yep, stock tires for now. Once I get the motor in the vette I'll order some 15x8" racestars but until I know if there is any unexpected expenses on the vette I won't order any more mustang parts.

No more wheel hop. Instead of "bark bark bark" it either hooks or just completely spins. Better traction. For $129 and 30 minutes to install I think they are a great mod.

George, I don't think it makes enough power to kick out the rear. I'm up at 4500ft and elevation is a killer. 15-16% SAE correction up here and DA is normally 5000-6000 on a good night. So in reality the car is probably making 340-350rwhp.

Blah. Track wasn't that great tonight. DA was ~6000 compared to 3900 last week. Got a new best 60' of 2.12 but MPH was down the 1st run. Following runs it picked up. Best of the nigh was a 13.007@110mph spinning out of the hole.

There was a cammed/header/etc camaro running 13.5s. Another heads/cam 5th running 13.3s. I think I'll stay with the basically stock mustang. Both camaro guys said they have between $6-8k into their cars, I got $780 in mods total. $250 for the cai, $300 for the tune, $100 for a used x-pipe and $130 on control arms.
