Mine does the same thing, but it started after I lowered it. Would it be that my LCAs are shot as well, or that the rear end maybe out of line?
99.72356% of the time, if the bushing fails on the LCA....it will be the driver side, front chassis end. That end of the LCA sees more load than any other.
Looking at the pics of the SR LCA....it looks like they use a bushing design that compresses the bushing substantially, when it is mounted. It may not be the way they are, but it appears by the pics. Compressing the bushing when installing, any substantial amount, is a no-no on a Poly Bushed pivot point. Polyurethane does not do a good job at handling multiple load directions.
That said, it may not even be the LCA bushings.....but it usually is when the car tracks L/R upon load accel and decel. I would say, 100% of the time when I get a call like that, it is a bad LCA bushing.
Keep us updated!
Don't forget that you are supposed to tighten the LCA bolts with the suspension loaded.
Put the rear axle on jack stands so that it supports the weight of the vehicle then torque the fasteners.
UMMM.. Post#25I usually follow the lowest common denominator method. Start by checking your rear tire pressures. Are they equal left to right? My car stepped out when I was on the bottle and I learned that my tire pressure was the culprit. Cheap and easy. If it goes beyond that then I agree, go to the afore mentioned bushing investigation.
Well atleast you know now.
If you'll take the ID measurements of the tube where the bushing goes, and the width of it.....I may be able to hook you up with some BMR goodness. We've got very good bushings.....in a 95 durometer super high performance version....or some 83 durometer material that is practically impossible to damage.
Shoot me an email to [email protected] with the info.....and I'll send some out. Hate to see ya spend more money if you don't need to.![]()

Kelly, thanks for the offer, but I called American Muscle and they're going to give me a refund and I'm going to order the Ford Racing LCA's.
order some BMRs instead!
It's no big deal.
There are many great pieces out there to fill everyone's needs.
As long as I can sleep at night knowing that I help as much as I can, I'm good. lol

I would, but they're too expensive for me right now.

I would seriously reconsider.I would, but they're too expensive for me right now.
