Ok, I installed all my rear suspension parts yesterday. BMR LCA, BMR Adjustable UCA, Lower relocation Brackets, Upper Bracket, Adjustable Panhard Bar, Ford Racing Sway Bar. I put the LCA in the middle holes of the Brackets and adjusted the pinon angle to -2 degrees. Now the tires rub when i hit a hard bump. They didnt before I put the stuff on. I got 20 x 11 wheels with 315-35 out back. Should I put the lowers in a different location. Any thoughts or suggestions. Thanks...

You really have a pretty big wheel and tire combo. I bet it was dam close before you did everything.

You may have shifted one or both wheels relative to the wheel wells with the panhard bar length for side to side and the LCA length for front to back.

It was pretty close before but didnt rub. The spring have it really low. The rearend was sitting over torward the drivers side after the spring install but the panhard pulled it back over. Wonder if i moved the lowers to a different hole on the relocation brackets if it would help or hurt..

Oh and i got ford racing springs which has the car slammed...

The relo bracket holes shouldn't make a difference in the clearance.

Springs make a difference. Did you get new bump stops or trim the existing?

I have to agree with the guys.

The lower control arms and relo bracket will not affect the height of the rear suspension; all it will do is change the angle of the lower control arms.

Panhard bar will change the center line of the rear axle, you need to make sure its perfectly centered or as close as possible. Then the springs are the only thing that will change ride height.

Where are the tires rubbing and are they both rubbing in the same spot?

I just trimmed the stock ones, the new ones didnt come with any. I cant see any marks on the outside of the tires so it must be on the inside somewhere. I may go to a different spring in the rear cause it is really low. I got prob 150 lbs of speakers and amps in the trunk. What springs are yall running...

I have V6 rear springs which are the same as the cobra jet and bullitt. They lowered the rear about .25" from stock height.

You may not have to go with a different rear spring. I had the same problem, sort of. And after a conversation with BMR, they provided me the solution. Oh yea, I'm running 315x35's too.

First, make sure that you've perfectly centered your rear end with the panhard bar.

Second, using some thick heater hose that has nearly the same ID as the spring OD, I did a layer at the top and bottom of the spring. This raised my rear end clearance just over 1/2" (your mileage may vary depending on what hose you use).

Never had a problem after that.

And im running stock shocks and struts. Would a set of good ones help and

They should help with the ride quality and may help from the standpoint of slowing the compression of the spring on the big bumps, but it depends on if you are just barely making contact or not. If the axle is centered/wheels are centered, you should really look for where it is rubbing, there may be something out of place...

Well I ordered some koni's for it the other day. Gonna wait till they come in and try raising the rear a little to see if it helps. I have the ford racing springs on it but have some sport lines also. Do you think they would be a better spring or raise it up any or make it worse.. thanks..
