Time for me to do a rebuild On the stock 8.8
Is there a master kit for it I was told my clutches in the diff are pretty shot. That I can just replace those!

What has everyone one else done when this is presented to you?

If its just the differential you can order a kit to rebuild it and it's very easy.

If you need ring/pinion or new bearings it will be more complicated.

I just swappwd out spider gears because i broke my old ones in half, took 30 minutes.
The s spring can be a little tricky with the differential still in the car though.

You can stack the clutches/plates differently too for better results

Actually after reading your signature I would get a wavetrac or detroit lockers lol

I'm assuming it's just the diff, since I've owned it always had 400/400 plus going thru pretty rough alot f track and street grinding. This year started getting worse with burn outs and my last one ofthe night I did for about 10 sec and my buddy said one side wasn't spinning and the other barely made any smoke. All year long I've had sorry 60 foots and been hard r burn outs ....

I know u can't go cheap but if all I need is a simple rebuild for the diff with performance parts over a factory brand Parts I would prefer to keep it like that I've bested 1.45 and norm average 1.5 before it started going nothing lower then 1.7 regardless of track tire size and tire brand

why not look into a Trutrac or something else. To me replacing the clutches etc, is kinda like a band-aid fix. Yes, it may cost more up front but no more clutches to replace.

The differential is probably stacked like this
s-f-s-s-f-s-f
S represents steel
F represents fiber

I would rearrange that to where there werent two steels in a row

No. The pinion depth would stay the same. You may have to reshim the carrier to get proper backlash and preload.
