$3k. It was raining, and I gotta say, it put the fear in me. I wanted to get over the hump and get back on track for later sessions that day, but officials were worried about parts coming off.

I still have to climb that hill, I can't wait to go out on track again, but man, I'm not forgetting about that one!

Oh man, where the hell have I been? Sorry for the ultra-late reply.

August 26th, 2010. Sometime right after 9AM. Mission Raceway, in beautiful British Columbia. Open tracking.

I had just gotten bumped up to the fastest run group "A", and I got too cocky. Maybe it was the Skyline, maybe it was the chick, I got too hard on the gas too early.

I have it recorded, but I'm not sure what the rules on posting crash vids are around here.

If it's a video of you crashing, then I suppose it's up to you--are you planning to drag the car to a ditch and file with insurance?

Good point about the airbags. Do you think it'd be a good idea to pull the airbag fuse for next time? I don't have any sort of safety equipment, other than my helmet (although, after that experience, I am seriously considering a SCCA approved roll bar, proper seats, and harnesses.)

I dunno if I'd recommend pulling that fuse. My comment was strictly from a cost-of-repair standpoint.
