im using an oem rack for ease of replacement. Most all the steering parts can be sourced through Sweet Manf. or any other circle car supply shop. The guys at ASD helped me pick out what i needed.

nice so i can use my own rack or do i need a new one.. to get ren of all the ign switch and the place you would put the key.... hope your following me on this..

I'm pretty sure the security crap with the key can be turned off in a pro-level tune, and if so, then it's pretty simple, really.

The lock setup is really only a set of switches: one for "accessory," rolled all the way back, one for "run," with the key rocked forward, and another for "start." You could simplify the wiring into two switches, one toggle for the "run" circuit, and a momentary push-button for the starter. Done...

I should tell you that I've heard terrible things bout Mustang Magic...in fact I've heard them called Mustang Tragic more than a few times. My cousin brought his SN95 Saleen there and they gave him completely wrong information on the car. Just food for though, it can be hard to find a good shop around here.

Not exactly. Last I heard they were being sued by a minimum of two or three people, and I have NEVER heard anything but horrible shit about that place, and I talk to to all types of Mustang owners.

not much for updates as of right now. We are currently planning out the wiring and plan on using mostly Mil-Spec wire and shrink tubing. The engine harness will have a mil-spec bulk head connector at the firewall and the chassis harness will be using bulkhead type Deatch connectors.

Once i get the motor back from the machine shop i can really start hammering down on this thing.

Tomorrow we will hopefully do the rear bulkhead. Not sure how i feel about going in to the shop on a sunday as of right now though, haha....

So this dude Jimmy moved in next door. He's an old school dude with a wicked mullet that builds old air cooled VW drag cars. Super nice guy and he does some sweet work. He happens to be pretty good at tinwork so i had him give me some schooling today and we made my rear bulkhead. I didnt snap many pics throughout the template process and such cause we were steady workin but here is how it turned out...

Clecoed in before we removed plastic film...

And riveted in for good. Ill be using some grey permatex to seal it in real tight like. ...............

I think it turned out pretty awesome. We biffed one of the bead rolls in it cause the throat wasnt deep enough on the roller and we tried to start and stop and well... whatever. I doesnt bother me enough to want to make a whole new bulkhead, haha.

Also we are starting to collect wiring bits. Got some large spools of Raychem wire on the way along with some Deatch DT connectors for the chassis harness and prolly use some Mil-spec connectors for the engine harness. Gonna use flanged/ bulkhead connectors everywhere cause they rule.

Still need my engine back though.......
