Service Advancetrac

Long story short, I had a nasty spin on, then off, the track. I had traction control completely disabled at the time. After this, the Service Advanctrac warning came on and hasn't left since. The car with the squirrely tire marks behind it is also lit up.

I'm not sure if I should just try to clear this with my SCT tuner, or is there somewhere besides the dealership that can read the codes? Also, if this has happened to you, please share your experience. I've had the wheels off since and everything looks good. (Minus diff oil everywhere and the rocks I had to clean out)

Thanks for the helpful input! I did search, and I did read. Mine is not coming on intermittently, I don't have a line lock installed, my exhaust is pretty much stock so I'm not melting the sensors (Those were visually inspected), I don't seem to have any EPAS shutter, and reading the Vorshlag build thread doesn't appear to apply to me.

By all means, if you can find something more relevant, please share. I would appreciate the help.

Did you try turning Advance Trac off and then back on?

Did you disconnect the battery for 10 minutes?

If you look into it, I forget which thread it was, but you'll see that you have to completely reset the system to get it to go off. Once you trigger it, it will stay on.

Oh, it's permanently off at the moment. It won't let me turn it on and dings when I turn the car on.

I'll give the battery a trick a try. I figured it was some sort of system similar to a 'flight recorder' or something that would track a potential accident.

Battery reset. Drove about 20 miles. Restarted the car, drive 20 more. No love. Feel like I'm working on something windows powered.

This past winter on a snow covered road I had the advancetrac on and was having a bit of fun....and it freaked right out, warning lights, service advance track warning, etc.

Simply turning the car on/off cleared the errors and it's been smooth sailing since.

I hope your issue isn't too serious.

Check connectors and sensors. A rogue rock might have done more damage than previously expected.

This turned out to be the 'RCM' - Restraint Control Module. I don't even know how these things correlate.
