Shift light...

Few months ago a friend gave me a shift light brand new i try to install it but i coudn't make it work, so i just left it alone yesterday i saw it in my garage and i thought on asking here see if someone knows how to install it? does not look like the 05+ Mustang is a supported application

^ thats right i will just buy one that fits s197's

U need a ground(black) 12 volt power when ignition is on(red) and a coil wire(green wire) to work but not sure if its compatible with a v8 setup calibration u would have to mess with the shiftlight and check the application for that.
