Update....FB fixed the trans but over revved the new motor on the test drive now it's knocking again.

We already know that it doesn't knock, and the warranty expired the moment you fired it up the first time. haha,

But my door is always open just the same.

You know I'm just teasing you man, and I can't wait till you have your trans fixed, a few miles on it, and a good tune.

Mike at FB called me today. I broke the Direct Shaft. They said they have never had one of these break on a 4R trans they have built before. Lucky me I guess. Mike said the only way they could fathom that this happened was:

1. The heat treating process wasnt done properly on the part causing it to fail
or
2. I shifted the car from first to third, something to do with the load, i honestly cant rememebr what he said, it was a bit over my head.

In the end, they are taking care of me, and fixing the trans so all is well!

I had a feeling it would be the stub shaft with the immediate loss of 3 and 4, it's a small sucker. Good deal, it is getting fixed!
