Has anyone installed shorty headers without a lift? what is the best way to lift the motor to get the motor mounts off. mustang is currently on jack stands but floor jack won’t lift motor up enough and I’m scared it’s gonna come up on a angle if I get a larger floor jack any advice is greatly appreciated

I did with ramps and jack stands which is the way I work on all my cars since I don’t have a lift.

About a couple of hours for each side but I have doing headers and other mods for over 40 years so these are super simple. Lol

More like non-existent.
Depends on your choice of shorty headers. Mine are JBA knockoffs (average runner length is 15.5") and they DID make a difference. The torque gain is especially noticeable in the 1500-3000rpm range which coincides with highway overtaking speeds in 5th gear.

Long tube gains arent worth the install hassels.
If the formula used to determine this is HP gained divided by hours of installation time, I think you'll find long tubes give you better bang for your wrench time than shorties do.

But it already had shorties. So, zero wrench time to leave it be.
