It took less than 24 hours if I remember correctly. Next time will be much quicker...

I went the subtle route. Unless I park next to a stock 5.0, most people don't even notice.

And a close up to show the metallic in the sterling grey paint.

That cover looks awesome ...

Where did you get the spray-paint in Sterling Gray?

No auto parts store around me sells it ... :(

I'm moving away from the whole "show car" thing, but I try to keep my engine bay clean and get parts that at least have similar colors.

I have a friend who owns a body shop who owed me a monster favor. So it was done with automotive paint in a booth. Prepped, sprayed, baked, and wet sanded. If you saw it in person, you'd see the quality of the finish that doesn't come out in pics. I'm told its all in the prep work and a quality adhesion promoter when working with plastics. Not something I'd try and do on my own.

Ahh ... that explains it ... the only place I could find spray-paint Sterling Gray was online sites, at $20+/can ....

You can get them from the Ford dealer, you know...

And everyone knows that Sterling Grey Mustangs are the fastest.

Dealers don't sell spray paint. At least not Ford dealers. I was able to buy small spray-pains cans for my Dodge from the local Dodge dealer when I had my Charger, but I guess that's not an option from a Ford dealer ... :(

My $19.95/can option .... http://www.automotivetouchup.com

Mostly stock for now ... hood struts, no more prop rod, and showing the new sound-pipe delete kit that I just installed today. The kit took about 5 minutes to install.
Retrieving the dropped screwdriver from the bellypan took about another 20 minutes ... lol
