Sorry to hear that man. I got boned over due to a fire in my 04. Stupid body shop that repaired my car from a fender bender skated when they "proved" that the fire was from the fog lights that were in the Stalker from bumper that they put on after the accident. They put those non OEM items on at my request so I took a major hit.

Im not sure yet. I went and test drove a few cars on saturday. Right now, Im really between a Challenger, a C6 vette or the Lexus IS 250. They all have their pros and cons.

Really....so leaving the mustang community altogether? Do the Boss/GT 500 not appeal to you?

Well Ill still have my 94 lol. I cant afford a boss or a gt500 unless it was an old one (but then my wife cant drive a manual which kinda closes my doors on a few cars)

The 5.0 just wasnt appealing like I said in the other thread. I like the interior and exterior of the 05-09 better so really the only thing thatis better to me is the motor. I cant see myself spending so much money, only getting the base model and me really not enjoy it lol

Im really leaning toward the c6 and I kinda feel like its the perfect time since the wife and I dont have kids (dont even know if she can) but we're not even planning on it til I get out of the Corps and land an FAA job so about 2 years. Def. enough time to put together money for an SUV lol

You see that as a bad thing? My wife loves to take "my" car out when I'm at work. I'd rather she didn't but she knows how to drive a stick.

That challenger is a heavy car. Personally I don't like it. The other 2 are nice cars, I'd try to justify that C6 in my head. Nearly swapped my car for a Z06 several times. She can learn a stick if she had to.

Lol well this would be our main get around town car. Ive got my DD which is a stick so she needs to get out of the house while Im gone.

It is heavy I agree. Not the best go fast car but it was a really comfortable ride.

Ive only test drove a C5 and the power was nice. Im sure the C6 will be even sweeter. The only thing the I didnt like on the C5 was the outdated interior. I felt like I was stuck in the 90s

Trade me your chassis + 25k for my Saleen :thumb2:

Stay away from the boat...hmm I mean challenger. Go for the Vette or Lexus.

What do you guys think of a c5 with ls6 heads I think, comp cam, longtubes no cats, intake. 382 rwhp. Its got more miles then I wanted, 62000. But I got him down from 18000 to 16500. Blue book is 19000

Sounds like a good deal. If you fish around, C5 Z06's with mods can be had for $22k-$25k with low miles and base C5's can be had with mods and low miles for $18k-$20k. The motors in all the C5 vettes are basically bulletproof with almost no real big issues, even with miles and mods

Yea I've seen some deals on some zo6s but I need an auto to share with the wife lol plus I like the removable top. I figured it wasn't a bad price and the mods are a plus.
