Im looking to trailer my car down to sea level this summer to get a better time slip. Hoping to get into the 10's on the 20" drag radials. Anyway, which tracks down there are the best? I of course want a 1/4 mile track and as close to sea level as possible. EDIT: Thanks for moving this for me, wasnt sure where to put it.

There is only one 1/4-mi track in SoCal (Auto Club Dragway in Fontana), and it's not what I would call a great track. It is at 1100+ feet, and pretty warm in the summer. DA's are often 3000 or 4000 feet (or more) in the summer. And the open street legal events hardly ever have good track prep, and there are often 100's of cars there.

Famoso in Bakersfield is a better track (from what I have heard). It is at 635' elevation. But again... not very cool weather there in the summer. Maybe a night event would be OK though.

Yeah, this time a year the da here in vegas is normally over 4000 and its ridiculous in the summer. Maybe I can try a night event at bakersfield.
