I'm doing the "ghetto" 17x5 spare tire setup, with M&H front-runner drag radials (185/55-r17), made to fit a 17x5" rim. Will be trying them out this weekend.
The 17x5 rims are very light, and the tires are around 18 lbs each, making for a very light front tire!
(The V6's come with or used to come with a 17x4 steel rim, and those are quite a bit heavier than the aluminum 17x5 rims; I still have one of those heaver ones as a spare.)

Just a suggestion, Mikey and Holywd, it'll cost less to just ship the rim w/o the tire. If the rubber isn't wanted, might be worth removing it before shipping, save y'all some dough (of course there's the possible cost of removing the tire from the rim, too).

I'm interested too. Shipping quote to 75070. It will be shipped to a buisness. I think that saves a little money. I need it for a spare, not a drag rim.

This is kind of a hijack to Mikey's thread. But after running them tonight, I'm really happy with these rims/tires. If you can stand the unusual look of them (i plan to paint mine some other color now), these make nice fronts.
The m&h tires list for like $155 on mandhtires.com and other places, like Summit. I drove to and from the track with them, running my stock 27" tall radials on the back, with no issues. And they worked very well at the track.

So, if you're thinking about such a setup, grab Mikey's rim!!!

[end hijack!]
