Spark Plug Stuck After Thread Repair

While driving from AZ to CA, one of my spark plugs backed itself out just far enough to blow out a couple threads. I had the dealership in Yuma repair the threads so I could get home, but now I can't remove that plug! It's still a 9/16 plug, but I think some of the bonding agent may have adhered to the hex on the plug.

I tried tapping the socket on with a rubber mallet, but don't want to force it. 5/8ths is still too big to grab it, so I'm kinda stuck. Can I shim the 5/8ths socket with some tape?

Try a 15 mm socket.

Spray a very small amount of pb blaster, and to get a better hug on plug with the socket I put some plastic wrapping between the 2. Very Brute like but I dunno it worked when I changed my sparks.

It will be practical when you have to pull the head to remove the plug because they used to much adhesive to secure the timecert. Dealership had to do it on my 03 superduty after the 5.4 spit a plug. 2200 bucks later i am glad they did the repair and ate the cost and not me.

What is all over the plug well tube, is that the sealant?

I'd contact the dealership, maybe they will get on your side and you can have it repaired at a local (ford?) dealer. At least the local place could confirm your diagnosis.
