2005 GT is there a recommendation for 1 piece plugs. This will be my 3rd set @ 143,000 miles. TIA

I used to use exclusively Brisk Racing plugs but the last set I put in were Accel plugs. I do run a degree or two colder and don't know if they make regular heat range plugs or not.

This is a debate, similar to oils.

The short version is, the are only two true “1 piece” plugs on the market: Champions and Brisk. The updated 2 piece designs (Autolite, Motorcraft) won’t break in your head again as they have been reinforced and plated with Nickle to avoid corrosion.

My vote, get Autolite HT1s from your favorite parts store and call it a day. They are cheap, effective and are the same as the Motorcraft plugs (Autolite manufactures the Motorcraft plugs) and will not break on you. I take mine out every 5-10k and have never had an issue.

I have had terrible quality issues with the champions with broken/burned electrodes. Brisks tend to have good reviews but aren’t cheap.

Also, get yourself the Lisle spark plug extractor tool because you will very likely break at least 1 during your removal of the originals

When I owned my 2007 Roush 427R, I installed the brisk plugs, and that was a great piece of mind. That was a while ago, so I'm sure there are more options now.

This has been discussed so many times…

I have used Brisk Silver Spark Plugs 3VR14S (one heat range cooler) and then changed too Autolite HT0 spark plugs (one heat range cooler) both gapped .045 and on two different 4.6L 3V (05' & 06' GT) and both ran great, but both of my cars are N/A.

Also I have the extraction tool, so if anyone is in the south FL area and needs to borrow one let me know.
