Never used these, but the only plugs you should use in a 3v are OEM SP547Xs or Autolite HT1s.

Anything else is trouble with the high thread spark plug design.

I'm not sure if the last Motorcraft design with the welded ground electrode is a good idea, but we will see.

When I did the first plug change at just over 40K, I gladly chucked the Motocrap 2 piece. In prep I ordered some Champion 7989, I had a bad misfiring 7989 from the start. I was so pissed I took all the 7989 out. I used the E3 E370 and although they are a just copper plug, they are a true 1 piece design and have been excellent for 60K...just figured its time.

I DO NOT want to put any 2 piece plugs back in the motor. Sure I know you can use the nickel antiseize, but I would rather go 1 piece. Its my understanding that the SP547X and the HT1 are still a 2 piece design.

I was hoping somebody had tried the Amazon plugs, they may be a 2 piece design also. I can either order some E370 or maybe pick up 1 7989.

I have used Brisk Silver Spark Plugs 3VR14S (one heat range cooler) and then changed too Autolite HT0 spark plugs (one heat range cooler) both gapped .045 and on two different 4.6L 3V (05' & 06' GT) and both ran great.

You won’t have a problem with breaking with the updated HT1 or SP547X designs. The issue has long been resolved and the barrel has been coated with nickel and reinforced to prevent breaking.

Champions are crap on these cars. Ground straps always going missing, misfires etc.

The updated HT1s and SP547Xs will not get stuck in the head. That issue is long resolved. Your car will thank you by not running the champions

The E3 E370 had about 60K miles or 100K km of awesome trouble free use on them. The E370 were in there for about 10 years and they came out so easy...I did have the nickel antiseize on them.

I think my old predator programmer didnt say which cylinder was misfiring. The freebe SCT X3 I just got said which cylinder was misfiring. So I just bought 1 Champion 7989, that was the cheapest way to go. Anyways it runs great with the 7989s...not sure for how long??? I had them so I will run the 7989s for now, then maybe try something else if I have any issues.

I forgot to say, I put a set of these coils on. They look good, not sure if they last or if they are crap or not.

You mean the coils??? They are so cheap, maybe you get what you pay for, but they look good lol
yes sir,,
i just got done painting my car and needed more paint and all the things i did this spring \summer to my car drained alot of my cash ..

so i went cheap,,

when id leave my house for the gym, before it was warm (engine)
it would seem like it had a slight miss at idle and when id leave my house and get on my straight away in the road and gave it more gas ,,
sometimes it felt like it was missing or barely firing on a cylinder.. felt sluggish

no codes tho..
so i opted to buy these cheapo plugs to just see if it made a difference..
it sure did,,

so for now ,, i got no problems with em,,
and to be honest i dont think i wanna spend high dollar on c.o.p packs,,

unless these prove otherwise..

hey my jbl clone headers never did me wrong and people wanted to knock me for that

Yes, but do those have a sticker with a checker board flag and flames and a lifetime warranty like these lol

These are even cheaper than my Bravex...wow, I got ripped off lol

The Bravex COPs do come with a 5 year warranty. I dont know how hard it is to get warranty out of Bravex though. The Bravex look really good. The factory OEM COPs might be a little better built. I saved my stockers anyways, just in case. That is a good price for the ebay Motorcraft ones.

One thing I did notice with the fresh Champions my car seems to idle slightly higher, not huge, but maybe another 50 or 75 rpm

Be cautious of the eBay sellers. DG511s are a VERY common counterfeit item on eBay. If it’s too good to be true, it ain’t (unless you personally know the seller).

Note: I'm very particular about what I put in my car... All I can say is I've been using them for years now (on a blower setup) with no issues to speak of. They have the right packaging with the right markings bought from a US seller. If they are counterfeit then they're certainly very good ones so until something changes to the contrary I'll keep using them.

Oh I feel the same way. I always had in the back of my mind I would buy some MSD coils. I didnt really need coils, but when I saw the Bravex there were to cheap not to try. Only time will tell, but they really do look/work good. Its like plugs, everybody has their preference. There are failure rates with anything. I have seen bad reviews for the E370 plugs, but I got awesome service out of the ones I had, so much so that I probably could have kept running them for a while...and they are one piece.

The Champion 7989 in my car are working excellent, but I have seen bad reviews for those too. Maybe the 7989 will crap out on me yet, but so far so good. Just not a fan of 2 piece plugs, if you are on it and doing a regular maintenace 2 piece plugs may never be an issue. Its just in a perfect world 1 piece plugs are better than 2 piece plugs.
