I have a vista blue 2005 GT and toying with the idea of adding dual 10inch white stripes. Wondering if I should go with Gloss or Matte finish. Some ideas:
Matte

Gloss for sure. Vinyl is cheap if you want to just try it on the hood and see if you like it. You can get a 10' roll on Amazon for under $20.

Another vote for gloss...will look good on that blue. Post-up some pics if/when you get them on car. :D

I know it's Redfire and the stripes are black but it might give you something to think about. Not my car but one I am watching that is for sale.

Whichever you choose, although my preference is matte, do a matching pinstripe to the outside of each stripe. It's a nice finishing touch.

If your car was a darker color like mine or like a slate color then the matte would look better. Yours is pretty light and shiny so I think gloss would look better on yours. Like others have said, you can throw some cheap vinyl on there side by side just to see what you like. Buy one little roll of gloss vinyl and one of matte and stick a stripe of year next to each other on the hood and decide from there. For the final product definitely want them painted on. +2 on the accent pinstripes next to the fat stripes

Did almost the same, started like you but decided to add front bumper after a while. It's not so easy, I made a template from paper to cut out the right pieces.
Used Oracal brand looks good after 10 years.

Looks good! I noticed on my GT500 that the stripes have been sliced in areas where they need to wrap into and under. I think that's the only way you would ever avoid the bubbles but it adds a ton of work and I do not have the steady hand with a razor blade for that kind of perfection. Yours look good right over the top and stopping before going down the front and back.
