Think I like the heat extractors split vice the one in the center but other than that looks good!

Nope. its too bad too. I thought that would have been bad ass.
I just talked to my buddy up the streert who has a 2015 SRT. He did a CAI, LTs and a dyno tune. He making 485 torque and 480 HP at the wheels. Shit, guess I know what I'm doing first. LoL.

Any idea what it did stock? Are they "tuned" to run 93 from the factory or do you think some of the gains in the tune were due to running 93/timing?

I like the 11-14 hoods more too, but as long as they work, I'm not too picky.

I didn't ask him about his base numbers. I did do a base pull on my 14, which had the same motor, trans and gear as my neighbor's. Mine did 428 rwhp and 432 rwtq. The 15's should be in the same range.

I can run 89 and up, so I am sure there is room to lean it out and bump the timing. 40-50 extra HP on a 392 sounds just about right... Especially since the Ford 4.6 3v and the 5.0 4v have about the same gains.

Awesome, I am liking these more and more; the red interior looks killer and I hate red interiors. Best of luck with the car..

Nice car. I'm not feelin' that dash/console. Looks cheap to me. Looks like a kid got some fiberglass and laid out a cheap custom dash in s half done showcar. But everything else is awesome.

I could in my pants right now. Marc - car is sweet, love the entire thing, inside and out. And that exhaust......dreamy

BTW - that shift from 2nd to 3rd has me giggling like a little kid, do it again, do it again, love that popping

I've sat in both a 2015 Challenger and a 2015 Mustang and the materials feel identical in terms of quality. The new Challengers are leaps and bounds ahead of the previous iteration, you should check one out.

Thanks for the kudos guys. My wife and I absolutely love the car.

Some of you may know that in 2013, I had a Mustang that had a computer bug in it, which caused the car to go into limp mode and tuned the engine timing to the point where it pinged like a diesel. There were maybe a few hundred guys around the country with the same issue and they couldn't fix it. Because I am a high miles driver, Ford asked me to test every software patch they came up with. Once a solution was found and everything ran great... Ford took my Mustang back, using the Lemon Law as justification. However, because I was a good sport and helped them, they not only didn't fight it, but I got a car in exchange that was $5,000 more for no extra charge.

Since I didn't get the run-around with trying to fix it and Ford was stand-up about replacing it, they have a customer for life. But... I'm a car guy, and as much as I love Mustangs... sometimes you got to mix it up and enjoy other things too. And unlike the Gen 5 Camaro... the Challenger is actually true to the Muscle Car heritage and fast. I would recommend one to anyone.

BUT... I'm still keeping my Shelby. I'm looking for variety, but I'm not stupid. LOL

Is that video with the dumps open?

Nope... the dumps were closed. They wont open and the track settings (lunch control, aggressive tuning, etc.) don't work until the car has 500 miles on it due to a pre-programed break-in timer in the computer.

I have no idea what it will sound like with them open, but I'm sure its gonna be good.

Holy shit that's awesome. I can't believe that's the stock exhaust.

My son and I were just talking about that. I know guys who have spent thousands chasing that sound in the aftermarket. They did a great job.

I would say, don't go by the pictures. It is actually really well done. When you see it in person, it looks much better. Has a nice ergo feel to it too.

I was playing the video over an over again on the big screen with the surround sound going. I love that sound.

Did you ever see the video of my 2007 idling in the driveway with open headers? (I've posted here a couple times) That car was pure sex. Wish I did a drive-away with that setup to.

WOW!!! That looks and sounds absolutely fucking amazing!!! And it sounds like that stock? WOW!!

haha Thanks brother... If the weather was nice, I was gonna bring the Shelby down, but if you want to see it, we can bring the SRT instead.

That looks badass. Any reason you chose this over the Scat Pack?

The SCAT Pack is an RT with a 392. The SRT, which also has a 392, also has much better brakes, suspension, steering, exhaust, etc. Not that the SCAT Pack is bad, its just that the SRT is better.

The main differences are that the SRT has an aluminum hood with a center mounted air intake, 9.5" wide wheels, 15.4" front brake rotors and 6 piston Brembos, digitally controlled tuning software that is driver controlled. The software adjusts the steering feel (sensitivity), suspension response and engine power output. There suspension is also a 3 mode automatic adaptive suspension. All upgrades not available in the SCAT Pack.

As far as the exhaust goes... both cars have the dual-mode exhaust system technology. However, the SRT can be manually opened and left open all the time. With the SCAT Pack, whether the dumps are open or not is controlled by pedal position and the effort the engine is making.

Good info!

So is the Hellcat the SRT8 with a blower or are there more differences?

Have you heard of anyone doing a pulley swap on the Hellcat yet?
