Is the only difference between the Steeda Competition Rear Upper 3rd Link and the Steeda Adjustable Upper Control Arm is that the Steeda Competition Rear Upper 3rd Link comes with a heavy duty mount?

And if my car is not a daily driver, does the Competition kit have that much more NVH than the Comp/Street Kit?

I think there's a Steeda rep on these boards. He should chime in.

If you're looking at the parts I think you're looking at, then no, the Competition link also comes with the heavy duty mount. I've got the Comp. version; hell of a heavy duty mount. Fitment wasn't spot on, which surprised me. I had to file out the pinion snub bolt holes to get the thing in.

I had it on for about a year of daily driver duty, but you've got to be a special kind of bird to deal with the noise. You can hear the gear whine much more, though personally I didn't find it intolerable. It got nearly intolerable when I chucked the rear seat and put in a thin seat-delete. Now it howls (of course, the rest of my rear end is rod-ended anyway). But I kind of like it. =)

Best,

Hey thanks for the info. Sounds like its pretty loud but I could see why you kinda like. Sounds like a race car. I just realized I meant to say that the Steeda Competition Rear Upper 3rd Link comes with the mount and the upper control arm doesn't. I edited so it makes more sense.

I am a Steeda dealer and I'm happy to help... but it would be a big benefit if you could use part numbers so I can make sure we are on the same page as there are a number of different UCA's.

Here is my UCA page for 2005-2010's (not sure if you have an '11+ or not there are some differences).

Hey Sam,

I have your sway bars by the way. They're great. The car is a 2011. I am referring to part #555-4106 and #555-4113. Do you know why there is a 2011+ specific the adjustable upper control arm and not a 2011+ specify for the upper 3rd link? Is it just because the 3rd link comes with a mount?

Also, as I said before, the car is not a daily driver so is the NVH that bad? Thanks

I'm glad you like the bars!!! :)

2011's use a different OEM Mount than the older cars, and depending on the brand, some of the aftermarket mounts fit, some don't.

555-4106 fits because it changes both the mount and the arm, and the Steeda mount actually fits, not all of them do. 555-4113 fits all 05-12's with a standard OEM mount because it's adjustable in length so if fits both. There is a non-adjustable arm as well specific to the 2011's (two in fact, one for lowered cars, one for stock height cars) that I've not yet gotten up on my website.... Fail on my end, I'll work on it right now. :)

NVH is personal, what does not bother Joe might drive Frank nuts....

**Edited to say that I've not got the two non-adjustable Steeda uppers on my site for the 2011+ cars**

Ok I understand now. I'll probably go with 555-4106, the competition one. The NHV shouldn't bother me. Thanks for the info Sam.

Alright, so I just received the Steeda part #555-4106 and I also got the new Steeda catalogue. Looking through it, it says that 555-4106 is for '05-'10 and there is a new part #555-4115 that is for '11-'12. The Steeda website still says part #555-4106 is for '05-'12. So I am not sure if it will work on my 2011 or not. Does anyone know what this new part #555-4115 is?

Um..... I don't recall doing an order for an upper link for you. I do the best I can do give advice that will help folks. Much like, for example Dell, can't support product they didn't sell, I can't either. I have to spend my time in ways that will benefit both of us. If I constantly just answer questions to help folks buy stuff from other places I can't pay my bills, and then I'm not around to answer questions anymore.....

I always preemptively try and offer free advice when folks are looking for parts. But when that advice is used to buy the part elsewhere (and if it was from Steeda they cost more than what I sell them for), I can't continue to give the same support.

Sam I understand. I didn't mean to offend you in any way. I did order it directly from Steeda but from now on I will order through you. I want to give my support because you have given me and the community so much support. So thank you and I apologize.
