If you stop eating, the benefits are two fold...you lose weight, and save money that can be spent on parts that further reduce weight. It's really a win-win sort of thing..

OMFG that made me laugh. the sort of laugh where you know that its 100% true, but 9 out of 10 people would advise against it. im the 10th.

Somewhat back on topic, I do have one of the Steeda supports, and there is no question that it's a viable piece for road racing. The swaybar tabs are plenty strong enough to take pretty aggressive cornering, and the weight savings is in nearly the perfect place: WAY out front of the axle centerline. Will it suddely make your car able to corner at twice the G-load it used to? No. However, as part of a comprehensive weight-reduction plan, it fits perfectly.

This is one of the upgrades I'm considering this winter. Since I primarily drift/road course the car I was wondering the same thing about strength. I sent Steeda an email and they said it was specifically designed for road racing. Their test mule has put thousands of miles on their prototype piece with no issues.

I may be doing this along with a tubular k member and control arms. Really need to get some weight off the front end.

I also use the Steeda Radiator Support - works great and saves weight. Every little bit counts on the road course especially when you're NA and only putting down 330 rwhp.

I don't doubt the unit's strength. I have one sitting in my basement waiting to go in. Its installation was only delayed by maintenance issues in my 67 Galaxie and other family priorities that kept me off the track this year.

amen to this!!! i have had mine for 36k miles and it has held up great with constant abuse...the powdercoat may or may not be coming off at the sway bar mounts from taking them on and off for service.
