steeda udp's ?

I am going to be installing my steeda udps tommorrow, and was curious if there are any "tips" to make it as easy as it seems to be. you know ... tips like ... getting the crank pully off?? how much RTV to put on the pully? or anything you might have done that made it any easier??? and thanks in advance......

You will need a puller to get it off, I thought I had the correct puller but the jaws were a little too big so I went to Autozone and borrowed theirs and it worked. Steeda supplies you with a longer crank bolt for installation purpose ONLY. They also supply you with a shorter alter. bolt, use it or the original will rub the w.p. pulley. Apply a thin coat of RTV to the back side of the cranbolt washer.

alt. bolt can be cut shorter or replaced it's up to you ... and if I remember correctly you will need a chrysler 3 jaw puller to get the old one off

what they said. Just follow the instructions and make sure you torque the bolt down correctly, and you're good.

Not to thread jack but can this done with the motor hot. I live a few miles from the hobby shop on base and I'd like to use air tools for the crank bolt & w/p bolts if needed. I know its best to work on the car with the motor cold

when i did mine, i kinda remember needing to grip with a 3 prong puller on the inside hub. i could not fit a puller down there large enough to grab the outside diameter and have room to allow the puller to work with the radiator. also, make sure when you pull the bolt out, you take the large washer out as well. as always, be careful not to press into the threads of the crank snout.

it came off pretty easy, once i got a good grip on it.
