Here's a picture of the engine on my 2006 GT; I know that not everybody will like it but that's ok. I want to do something with the crappy stock valve covers and can't decide whether to polish, chrome, paint or powdercoat. I am leaning toward powercoating them red to match the plenum and fuel rail covers. Any suggestions?

IMO black powdercoat for your valve covers. I'd do it that way because the flames are already on top of the black fuel rail covers and plenium cover, and it might look weird with those two black with flames and something else just straight red, whereas the valve covers being blacked out looks like the flames havent gotten there yet hehe. No matter which way you do it it looks really cool now.

For your engine bay, definitely do them in black. Chrome ones would make an otherwise clean engine bay look tacky and cheap. You could do red, maybe, but that's pushing it. And only do it if you can absolutely match the red on your plenum cover.

By the way, where did you buy the battery cover and the matching piece for the other side?
