Just replaced the rear sway bar and front sway bar links on my 2013 GT. These were standard Motorcraft parts. The front is now about 1 1/2" to 2" higher than it was. The front links were the same length. The rear is about the same. Maybe a little higher. What caused this?

Can’t see how changing sway bar/sway bar end links would cause any change in ride height, let alone 1.5-2”s.

Have you driven the car since the swap to see if it settles back down?

Yes. Took it back to the shop next day. Had it up on the platform lift to compare old vs. new parts. No difference! It's like the front struts got stiffer all of a sudden.

What else did they disassemble? Sway bars by themselves have no influence on ride height. Your shop has reassembled something incorrectly.

+1. The only thing that would influence ride height to that degree is the sprint/strut, though those shouldn’t have been removed for sway bar/end link replacement.

But if they did remove the front struts/springs, the spring may not be seated correctly in the spring perch/isolator.

I didn't witness the repair, but I know that the front struts were not removed. I thought maybe the strut became overextended when the old link was removed and it didn't return to the original position. They checked the ride height against Ford spec and it is in spec! I guess it wasn't before, for whatever reason! The purpose of this post was to see if anyone else had experienced the same issue. At any rate, mechanically the car is fine. I just liked the lower look.
