Curious after this being my 4th s197 car.

As soon as you relocate the swaybar to fit the 15's. It sits right on the brackets and the car becomes a clunk machine.

I need the sway bar relocated but already hate the clunking on the car.
Can't someone make a swaybar with bends that won't clunk?

We relocated ours also, they must have bent the LCA brackets differently on these cars. Our sway bar is real close, but we don't get any clunk.

If you have LCA relocation brackets on also then you may need to spread the swaybar about a 1/2 inch wider for clearance. I did it using a 20 ton press but you need to go very slow and measure the bar and then remeasure it after you spread it a little bit at a time as it will rebound some. My did really clunk from it but I thick it would have if it was not spread as it was just hitting the BMR LCA brackets.

SO how are you liking you EVO tune for the Auto? Did you get the C&L CAI also? I am picking up my '11 on Friday and will be prepping it for Myrtle Beach all next week. I am trying to see which tune and CAI to go with.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I see pics of BMRs sway bar mount relocation kit on their website. I just can't picture how it relocates anything and allows more wheel clearance.

Does anyone have a pic of something like that installed?

It moves the mounting point closer to the axle tube which reduces the distance from the center of the axle thereby allowing a smaller diameter wheel to fit since the end of the swaybar actually fits inside the inner portion of the wheel. Sorry no installed picture handy but here is one of the OEM setup.

We're talking the end where it mounts on the front of the lower shock mount?
