It comes with a sacrifice though. No time to enjoy it because I'm working so much to pay for it. Lol

Interesting TB setup. Switching to a cable setup?

No that's just what was on it. That's a cabled LS throttle body. I've got the insert for the FRPP 62mm one that I run. Just haven't taken it apart yet.

Tore mine down a little more. Just gotta pull the crank pulley and the front cover off to get to the timing chains.

Then I got bored so I started mocking up my new set up to see how it would look.

You oughta think about having that timing cover painted while it's out! Gonna be BAD ASS. Excited for you, sir.

Yeah I'm going to. Also going to paint or powder coat the coolant crossover.

Made some more progress today. Got the crank pulley pulled and the timing cover off. I'm a little nervous because I was expecting to be able to see something that could've caused the noise when I pulled the cover off. Instead it all looks ship shape. Maybe it's the oil pump?

Noise? I thought you just lost oil pressure?

I'm sifting back through to see where it might not be a spun bearing.

Yeah there was some drivetrain noise coming from the drivers side of the motor. Thought the tensioner was not maintaining oil pressure. I just thought for sure something was broken.

I hope you're wrong about a spun bearing.

Edit: thanks for jinxing me. My buddy (a Ford mechanic) came over today to look at it and he said we gotta check the bearings. He fully expected that a guide was damaged and now he's not so sure.
