I need a list of what I need for this swap and where to find the parts I'm wanting to use this with my twin turbo boss block build but I need to find all the conversion parts and I'm not familiar with an auto so I don't even know where to start any input is appreciated.

My first line of businesses will be finding a bell housing and checking to see if it will even clear my turbo piping.

The TH400 can be built very strong compared to the C4 which is too weak a trans for our heavy cars if you want to make any power. The 4R70W is also very heavy, granted not nearly as heavy as a c6 trans.

I will eventually be swapping from my 4R70W to either a TH400 or power glide at some point.

What is also a sweet thing is if you plan on drag racing alot and want to be NHRA legal you can get a CSR carbon kevlar molded transmission shield for the TH400 which you can't get for the 4R70W. I just tried to fit a shield on my 4R70W and without major cutting of the floor, trans tunnel and even the edge of the firewall there is no way you will get one to fit. I had to use a trans blanket instead.

If I can determine if it will fit with my turbo setup I'll buy one but I'd hate to buy it and it not fit

The C4 can be made to handle power, there are plenty of fast cars running them. There is also a small block bell housing for the C6 trans. Even the AOD can be built to take the abuse. I doubt the car goes any faster switching from a 4R70W to a th400 just because of a couple lbs difference, the 4r70w isn't really much bigger, not to mention who doesn't want overdrive?

Won't be the best but give me a few minutes and I can crawl under my car to get you a few...no engine in and I have a blanket around it but hopefully you will see what you want to.

EDIT:The pics will be of a 4R70W..you have been asking about them too.

Sorry for the mess...hope to be putting the new engine in tomorrow.

I wish I had pictures or measurements of a manual side by side with a 4r70w or a th 400 that will probably be the only way to tell
