I painted them flat black with high-temp paint before installing them

I never clean them and they maintain that look, which I love

Any issues with them peeling or chipping? I've been wanting to paint mine to match my wheels

Nope. No problems.

I sanded them as much as I could before painting them, then laid on a few coats of the black paint, and done.

Thanks Dan, ... and I thought it was gonna come out crappy cuz it was going on so thick when I did it, but I had the trunk open and the panel was pretty much horizontal, I guess it spread itself out and came out good.
I still get double-takes and positive comments about it at car shows
