Playing with this android blue tooth app ($5) that talks to the OBDII sensor $25. Pretty awesome so far. Reads G's, pitch, yaw, fuel pressure, boost, water temp and about a hundred other functions that I have no clue what they mean. Awesome app, suggest it to anybody with an Android phone and $25. Looks like you can data log some parameters with it, records routes and clears codes too. _BRAIN FART- MODS please move to appropriate thread if there is one- or just delete this

some bad azz with a yellow procharged gt did a cool write up of that a while ago..

They made the read outs faster and have done allot of up dates.. hell it paid it self off by working with my wifes cheby and clearing her codes. well worth the $$

Just checked and there's an app for the iPhone too. Would it would use the same OBD2 adapter? I'm going to look into it.

There is an iphone specific adapter and it costs twice as much as the android one. I'm not surprised.

Thanks for sharing the link. Ive been wanting to try this out but there seems to be millions of knockoff obd2 sensors and i didnt want to gamble on one.

I have this app and love it. I can view the drive cycles on the vehicle to make sure I pass emissions.

I bought the kiwi adaptor for $100 and works great.

You have to have the BT adapter for any model.

So you will need:
Torque App
BT device of your choice.

Torque + a BT OBD scanner is a great tool to have.

For those running a GoPro for autocross/track days, you can grab RaceRender and translate the Torque log to a track map and gauge overlay for the video. I'm still in the learning process on that and also playing with the RaceChrono app.

I'm using one of the cheapie ebay OBD adapters with no trouble. Mine is the ELM327 orange label one.

I couldn't find the same app for iPhones but there's a similar one called Engine Link. I downloaded it, have the OBD adapter on the way.

I downloaded one for my iPad last night and will see if it works with my bluetooth adaptor this weekend. I just cant remember the name of it.

Yup. Its really simple. Plug the device in, pair it with your phone or tablet and you are good to go.

I did discover in testing last night that the new 2013 Fusion ECU won't play nice, so I'm now looking again for a BT OBD scanner. probably one of the $130-ish ones off ScanTool.net suggested in the Torque docs. At least I got my $20 worth out of the current one.

My $100 Kiwi BT adaptor does not work on my daughters 1997 Ford Ranger....have to find a cheap code reader for that.

Does anyone have a good list of pid's for our cars?

It's been a while since I've used it but I remember there was a LOT of missing pid's. Especially compared to what like a sct can view.

Torque pro was actually the first app I ever bought.
