I want this, as soon as I switch over to an android or iphone I am doing this.

btw, are the readouts fast enough for me to use it as a tach? I saw it had a sweeping needle tach mode and was thinking of mounting in to my winshield when I go to the track. so I could do that instead of having a big ass tach hanging there all the time.

(I tried a shift light and a digital readout, I don't know why, but my eyes and brain need at sweeping needle)

The tach readout in the Iphone app is slow and jerky, kind of like the tach in my wife's '05 Elantra.

Can somebody post some screen shots please?
I plan on installing my 4G iPad in my dash and using it for the app also.

I'll get some for you.

I emailed Engine Link Support about the lack of available PID's and they told me that "Any vehicle I saw so far only support part of the standard PIDs more or less. It is up to the car manufacture how much they want to support."

SCT has a free app called iTSX for iPhone and iPad. It also uses a Bluetooth adaptor. I downloaded it but I won't be able to try it out for at least a month.
Never mind... U have to buy the $470 Bluetooth adaptor to use it. Lol.

Do you guys leave the bluetooth adapter in the OBD2 port or do you take it out?

I've been using Torque Pro for quite awhile with a XiTECH XR7 Bluetooth module. I mainly used it for checking/clearing codes in cars that I work on. Initially there weren't that many features or supported PIDs, plus I use an SCT Livewire in the Mustang. Today I got playing with the app again, and it has a WHOLE BUNCH of new features and much better PID support. It was able to display body and ABS codes, which it didn't used to. There is no oil pressure PID for the 3 valve(I wish there was), but there is a fuel rail pressure. Also of interest are commanded AFR (no actual AFR), fuel trims, fuel pump duty cycle, head temp, vac/boost (not sure if it would really read boost properly), timing, and a few others that I can't remember. The app also has great options for logging and sending data and can even be viewed remotely using a web viewer. I'm working on getting that set up now. There are also a bunch of great plugins. I like the knock test plugin and the race video plugin that super-imposes gauges and data over video, and can even include a map. There is a lot of cool stuff to figure out in the app now.

Anyone tried Dashcommand from Palmer Performance? I found it for the iPhone in the App Store for $10.
