I'm guessing it never had the correct panel in the first place. When I googled stuff about the TCS switch I read stuff by other owners saying they had a GT but had a blank switch panel in their cars.

I don't know if this is accurate or not, but IIRC TCS switches weren't included in base models. They were included as part of the premium option package only

This is some fun fact. I think I have an extra one laying around. Just pay shipping and is yours.

This one is a premium, has leather seats, shaker 500, bright interior trim package.

o2sys, thanks for the offer but I already bought one off ebay for $12. No big deal.

I had a deluxe 3V GT with zero options. It had the TCS switch.

Then I stand corrected, therefore it appears someone from the factory forgot to install the TCS switch on Ghunt 81's car during the assembly process

It appears that someone on the assembly line did, in fact, fail to install the correct panel. Anyhow so much for "Quality Is Job 1" lol.

It's not too common but somebody just put the wrong panel in at the factory. My car came with a wrong switch panel but I used the extra switch for my trunk monkey.

Still can't figure out why in the hell the previous owner or whoever removed the TCS from the dash panel, to begin with:shrug:But in the end, all that really matters is you got everything straightened out and were able to order a TCS switch panel :waytogo:

That would explain the reason behind not including the TCS panel switch, especially if the V6 in question was only a base model
Got a base 2008 v6 as well as the GT, both have a switch. I think its rental car related
