Transmission limiters?

Has anybody made their own? Like Che makes? Or just some that bolt to the k-member? I already have a granatelli k-member brace. I'm asking because at the track Friday I was having a lot of problems getting it to go into forth and I believe it's from the tranny moving since I'm having zero clutch slip issues even on spray. I tried searching but didn't come up with anything.

Do you have stiffer motor mounts? Maybe you should consider a set of prothanes

I have prothane motor mounts and a b&m sts.

Hm well i had a che with limiter setup on my 07 gt and theres no reason you couldnt fab something similar up

That's what I was wondering. I need to know the length of the bars from the trans to the k-member.

They are adjustable. Like a turn buckle. It would change depending on motor mount setup and spring setup

Lmao. I would but my wife drives it everyday so I'm limited as to how hardcore I can go. If I drove it everyday I wouldn't care.

It looks like CHE sells the limiter bars by themselves. You could buy those and then get some mounts fabbed up on your granatelli. I was contemplating doing this to a frpp trans cooler scoop.

I may just do that my brother can weld good and get ahold of pretty much any metal I would need.

Do the prothane motor mounts and stop the movement at the source, not by trying to hold the engine still with the transmission. My 2 cents.

I've got urathane motor mounts already. They did help some but they didn't eliminate the problem. The factory tranny bushing is so soft I can get under the car and watch the bushing flex just by pushing on the tranny. I can't imagen what it looks like while I'm launching from 4500+ on spray.

^^^I was wondering why they don't offer a polyurethane trans mount for our cars doesn't make much sense to me!! Does any body know the reason?? Thanks JJ.

Because its attached to the tranny crossmember. It's not like previous years it doesn't just unbolt from the tranny crossmember. I have heard of a few guys trying to get them made and tested. It was on here. Maybe one of them will chime in.

It does however, unbolt from the crossmember. A replacement bushing would need the metal seat. If it came pre-sandwiched in between those metal pieces it wouldn't be so bad.
