Just bought this and it came with no vehicle manual.

Is the only trunk access with the electric remote, i.e., no key access or interior button?

Thanks,

Remote key fob and key in rear GT cap will open trunk. Not sure about the Saleen.

There is no interior button like the previous mustangs but there are kits for installing one.

So if lock or remote fail, I assume there is a rear seat crawl thru, with a wire to pull after you achieve maximum discomfort curled up in the trunk?

Yes federal government mandated inside emergency trunk release in 2001.

JC SSP:

FYI, Saleen Parnelli has no key access to rear trunk. Styling decision I guess. So remote is it.

At least the battery's in the engine bay, right? If you're ever caught w/ a dead battery and can't open the trunk...but yeah the jumper cables would probably be in the trunk.

There is a wire by the front passengers right foot that can used for a trunk release button that I located in the glove box. I don't remember exactly how. It's been years ago but its easy. The instructions are on this site and on The Mustang Source forum.

this should help get started, any momentary contact button will work

I tapped into that wire also and added a switch, but for better security used a relay triggered by the radio circuit so it is not always active since the trunk is where I secure things when my convertible is parked.
