Tuner Questions

My 05 GT I bought used with some unknown tune already installed. Car is an auto and IMO runs like a raped ape. Your opinion unknown tune, K&N fipk, magna flow catted x pipe & magna flow cat back. I added udp, TCI 3000 stall = 8.23 at 84 mph in the 1/8 th 1.80 60' on 275/40/17 MT ET Radials, still 3.31 rear. The real question is how can I tune for future upgrades without reflashing to stock and adding a new tune ? Can I use an unlocked unit if I knew the vendor?

You can just buy a new hand held tuner and your current tune will become your stock tune.

yeah they alwways want to "backup" when loading a new one. I have both the Diablo Predator and SCT.

Good to know. I was told that my system would be locked for some reason and that I would have to reflash to stock. The main reason I asked is now that the car has broke into the 12's I want to add 4.30's but cant calibrate the speedo with no tuner.
