Tuner says wrong ECU

So I finally loaded my tune into my tuner, plug it into the car, hit load tune and it says wrong ECU. Am I doing something wrong or is something wrong with the tune?

Oops, just tried it again and it says "wrong ecm type". What does this mean??

It says 5 unlocks left, status = stock.

hmm idk maybe someone else can chime in.. my first thought is that it was locked to another ecm/pcm

Did you "unlocked" it in the liveloadford application? is a button on the lower part of the screen, you will have to have it connected to your pc, until you don't do this it won't switch to another car. (Is an X2, right?)

Yes it is an x2, I just googled it and it said the tuner is half locked. Problem is that I have an Apple computer so now I have to borrow a computer again to fix it. Uggghh!

Yes, if it's an X2 then you have to use Liveload and click Unlock if status is Stock. Then load your tune on it.

Are you doing "strategy tune" or "custom tune"? I bought mine brand new with Bama's shit tunes on it. I selected "strategy" on accident one time, and it gave me that error message. Then I read the instructions again, and i selected "custom" and it worked fine (except for the shitty tune).
