Upgrading to 18" TSW Nurburgrings

Hey guys,

Just purchased 18" TSW Nurburgrings wrapped in Pirelli PZero Nero 235/55R18 tires. I'm upgrading from the stock 17s from the Pony Package and was hoping you guys could answer some questions:

1) Do I need an alignment after mounting the new wheels?

2) Do I need aftermarket lug nuts or can I just use the stock ones?

Thanks in advance for the help...this is the first time I've ever gotten new rims so I'm a little lost on the subject

you shouldnt need an alignment. thats only the case if you mess with suspension. and depending on where you get them from, you should get lugs to go with the wheels. how wide are they? why didn't you go with 255s or 275s?

What color are the wheels? If they are black, you may want to go with black lug nuts. You won't need an alignment if you haven't lowered the car. Those are going to look nice on your ride...

Those are the wheels on the previous owner's 5.0...polished face. I've been thinking that I might get them powdercoated flat black eventually

Your stock lugs should work. If not go to Autozone/Advance and get some "tuner" lugs that are a little more skinny to fit. Around 32 for a set. You can always powder coat them when you do the wheels.

Those are sweet! Make sure you post some pictures once you install them...I'm guessing they are 18x8.5? Polished or black is going to look good

Stock lugs will not work with the TSW Nurburgring's. I ordered my TSW wheel/ tire package through Discount tire direct and got the lugs from them. They are made by Gorilla, part #21183BCD. Discount tire part no. is: DT85839. They are S/D Acorn 1/2" lug nuts. Hope this helps.

like bumblebee said, just go to your local autoparts store and get 1/2-20 lugnuts with a 3/4inch hex section. advance/o'reilly's/autozone all carry them and you can get them today instead of waiting a week on shipping.

and sweet wheels, i came really close to getting those until i saw the konig's that i ended up with. i LOVE the machined face on those.

they look good! when it comes time to replace the tires, make sure you get the correct OD. 235/55/18 are very tall.

255/45/18 would be perfect (slightly shorter than stock but wider and would look good)

18x8. Man, looking at your Roush spoiler makes me want it more and more...

Its expensive but IMO completes the flow of lines for the rear...I'm debating whether to get a chin spoiler

Finally got the wheels on...this Jersey weather has been crazy (massive snow/rain). I'll try and get better shots eventually. The rims are actually darker in person, almost gunmetal. Next up is a drop since these 18"s have upgraded my gap to monster truck status

I just put my 20's on last week. What springs are you going with? I need the clear signals up front like yours...

Are those the 20"s in your sig? What brand are those rims? They look sick!

Not sure what springs yet. I'm thinking that the drop can't be that severe since Jersey roads suck the big one. I got the clear signals a while back from eBay I think; it was the first "mod" I did.

Thanks, they're Roush 20x9.5 on Cooper RS3 275/35R20...K springs are good if you dd your ride...I'm contemplating H&R SS springs or Sportlines now with the new wheels I have...love these wheels, expensive tho but worth it
