ups shipping....alternative?

does any1 kno a cheaper way to ship things besides ups... is USPS any better? ups is super expensive.. i had everything boxed up and redy to go .. just to ship the box from MA to CA was 67 dollors..

USPS takes longer sometimes and no tracking number but its def cheaper. I shipped my stock front bumper to texas with USPS because it was 30 bucks cheaper then UPS

I think the thing that killed you was the size of the box. you could have gotten everything in a box about half the size. that was a huge freaking box. Once you get past a certain box size, then as you know, they really stick it up your ass. I have shipped several guitar amps and man the shipping was around $80 bucks for a 1 X 12 Mesa Boogie, of course it weighed close to 70lbs. Next time don't be so eager to pay shipping, it gets to be a pain in the pocket book...good luck next time
