RJ, I'm actually doing a coyote swap currently. Have all the parts ready to install this weekend. I'm located close to Kingsport. If you wanna see the car/setup in person let me know.
Okay man I may hit you up when you get it done. I may install this down the road...

keep the 3v running! we are slowly dying off lol 5.0 swap would be pretty sick though

I know man! Im still a 3v man! Ive just had so many problems with this build its time to go back to reliable. It will still be a pretty odd set up since most people traded in for an 11+. Ive can think of only less than 10 s197 coyote swaps that Ive seen and will allow me to keep the car I have my attachment to but have a reliable strong powerplant.

Damn dude. I hate to see you having all these issues. I have always been a fan of you're car. I still like 3V cars. But a coyote swap would be sick in there as well.

I'm kind of kicking myself in the butt for not coyote swapping nine, but hey us 3v people need to stay together lol.

maybe sometime in the future I'll swap mine, but for now it will stay the same. I say all this RJ because you put so much time and effort in it so far only to possibly give up. Keep at it and when its done you'll be grinning like no other. Be totally worth it, your car is a beast and not yet to mention plain out sexy. Keep at it!!

Thanks guys. I am already set on the swap now. I am about to make another build thread and a good length for sale thread once I get some stuff pulled off the car for sale. I tore the car down last November and since then I have only driven the car for one month in March and September and some of October. Its just time to count my losses on this build and go a more reliable route. Building the motor twice in 1 year makes you put things in perspective. I will be making the new build thread here in a sec. Keep an eye out.

I think your making a wise choice man. The reliability issues you have had are a big reason for my decision to sell my car. I love it but I've realized that without sinking way more money then I'm willing to into it it will never be what I want it to be. If I did keep it though I would be going the coyote swap route and being done with it. I can't wait to see it man!

RJ, I hear you on the reliability. While I haven't had any large issues with my swap, I run into shit that just doesn't want to cooperate/break and it pisses me off and makes me want to burn this sumbitch to the ground.

Sorry that you are having so many issues though. I'll back you for the 5.0 swap since it would be pretty awesome.

Read all 85 pages of this thread. It was like a great movie with a crappy ending. So did you end up doing a coyote? I've been looking at low mileage f150 motors on eBay. You can get a decent used one for around 3000.
