3k with the on3 piping.

Not sure why im seeing full boost so late then. My hot side is on3 but i made my own cold side with 3" piping and 31"x12"x4" intercooler. Even with the larger piping and intercooler i wouldn't think it would take that long to build peak boost.

Sounds like we had the same exact setup other than the turbo then. With your .68 you would think yours would come in just a tad sooner than mine.

Is it just me or does there seem to be a lot of turbo car issues that all have a comp turbo as a common denominator?

The reason i went with a .68ar was for a quicker spool. I don't even start to hear it spool until 3k rpm.

What compression is your engine and what fuel? I can hear my turbo start to spool at almost any rpm at just past 1/2 throttle. I am running a precision billet wheel, journal bearing turbo

Running a precision myself and I'm building boost around 1700-1800rpm and full boost in the 2800-3000 range. But I am running a eBoost2...

Not really sure what all to check but I'll take a look at the turbo tonight and make sure its spinning freely. It has maybe 300 miles on it.

I hate to steal your thunder OP, but I just order a wastegate from S&H because my car doesn't go intill full boost till 5k:crazy:

I hope that fixes the problem, but I'm reading every one talking about TC and stuff like that has me thinking. The car it just a stock motor with on3 kit and a on3 76mm bb at 9psi. I would love for my car to go into full boos at 3k!

I was thinking the same thing. If I was in the market for a power adder, I'd be scared of going turbo, especially after seeing what seems to be similar problems that require a warranty claim to fix.
Cast wheel/Journal bearing Precision 67 turbo (.81 housing) and powerhouse piping and I'm at full boost by 3000 with the boost controller on or off. The controller just makes the response that much faster.

I'll let you know if the wastegate fixes my problem or not. I hope so! I'm not sure what else it could be. This might sound dum, but I think I have a small exhaust leak if that could effect the spool.

Turbo spins freely. I bought the used tial wastegate and should have it sometime next week.

Still waiting on the tial but i did a few things today. I removed one of the springs in the wg so it's back to a single spring. The diaphragm or whatever it's called looked fine. No rips/tears and it moved in and out freely. I also installed my boost controller. It's a turbosmart dual stage so its basically a manual controller that has a high and low setting.. I went for a drive and it seems the same, maybe a little better but it's hard to say. I still wasn't seeing full boost until almost 4k rpm.

Got the tial wastegate today but probably won't have a chance to install it until this weekend.

I put in my new wastegate and I'm at full boost at 4500rpm:yuck: I'm not sure what else it could be.
