I'm talking about like in my case where you don't already have the 9"...:beerdrink:
I am too. You'd need the 9" ends and a new set of axles with the 9" captive bearing ends. Then labor to cut your housing down and weld the ends on the housing.

About a grand. Did someone quote you a price on this already?

yep strickly just did it this week or last week
Actually they took it to Pyle Bros. Differentials. That's where mine is going shortly. Which is why I was wondering if someone quoted CK some outlandish price. Here is what they're going to do for me.........

Install 9" housing ends
Moser Axles
Detroit True Trac
3.73 gears (might step up to 4.10's with these 28" tires)
main cap studs
rear girdle cover
royal purple fluid w/friction modifier

Grand total: $1355

yea i remembered him saying pile accidently sent the cobra ends or something , but i thought it was strickly who put it together for him ..... and shit sd that aint bad at all it would be nice to do like mark said but it pretty much offsets itself as far as the wheels yea you can run more wheels but then you spend a grand on the axle lol , but i understand his point with the whole beadlock deal , hell next time your there snatch pl's ole 6060 for me lol i talked to that fucker about it but i guess i need to call him to see if he really wants to ditch it or not ......depending on what my local tuner has in mind as far as sponsorship , if im not to happy about his bs i might just be at strickly here pretty soon to get this fucker tuned

Yeah....if CK ends up dead set on beadlocks (which are a waste for his application, in my own opinion) then I'd just narrow the 8.8 and get the wheels. It's not that much money.

Yep - modular depot and it was 4K for a 9" set-up and then I still would have to 'play' with it it for fitment if they didn't have the car.

I value your opinons, bro, believe me. I sent the MT's and tubes back to summit. Put rim screws front and backside on the bogarts with the goodyears and set the shocks 50% to start and am going to play and dial it in over the next few track visits and MAKE it work.

Just curious. Why are you using RP with friction modifier? I got the below email from Eaton when inquiring about oil in the TrueTrac.

Thank you for your recent Eaton purchase. As a rule, you should not use any synthetic oils or additives. Just a standard mineral based oil (80w90) will be fine.

scramblr,
I don't really care what Eaton has to say. I've used Royal Purple for ages. We add the friction modifier to help the RP "cling" a little better and it has worked great in everything we have done. Royal Purple lives much better than any dinosaur oils. It also has much better shear properties than regular oil. Every Detroit Locker I ever used had this mixture added and I've never had one so much as blink.

I know it's been ages, but have we found out anything more on any other 15" wheels fitting with out grinding and spacers?
