When I first got the car the goal was to out perform a GT500 at the strip and at the road course. I've done pretty much majority show mods, but performance mods are coming now only! All my mods are in my sig and here is what I have left to do...please put in your comments or suggestions and if you have a question as to why a mod is there just ask lol.
  • FRPP Springs
  • Tokico D-Spec Adjustable Struts &Shocks
  • Tokico D-Spec Adjusters
  • BMR Rear Sway Bar
  • BMR Adj. Panhard Bar
  • BMR Panhard Bar Brace
  • BMR Camber Bolts
  • BMR Relocation Brackets
  • Aluminum Driveshaft (Spydershaft)
  • BMR Driveshaft Loop Kit
  • 4 Black GT500 Wheels with Machined Lip
  • 2 BFGoodrich G-Force T/A KDW Tires (285/40R18)...already have 2 front 255/45s
  • Ford Racing GT500 Brake Upgrade
  • Rotorpro Drilled/Slotted GT500 Rotors
  • FRPP 3.73 Gears
  • JBA Stainless Steel Long Tube Headers

don't go with the BMR springs... from what I understand they really aren't a handling spring

What about FRPP springs? That's the only other spring I'd be willing to go with as these 2 give the same drop...even eibach prokits would be ok...love the drop and priced well...only those 3 options of springs for me lol BMR, FRPP, and Eibach prokit

As far as i know the gt500 throttle body will not work with the whipple. its bigger then your stock one and i mean in the girth department. it will not physically fit on the whipple.

mods

I don't have one, but what about a Watt's/Saleen link? Also, they make the 60# injectors as a direct plug in and no adapter required. Don't waste your money on a rear sway bar, IMO, the stock one is just fine! :2cents:

Looks like a pretty good list.

I'd stick with the tokico stuff and go with the frpp springs. They are a good spring from my experience and I plan on getting the tokico d-specs in the future.

Also since you mentioned track I'd be 100% positive you aren't going to want to run some light drag wheels and slicks for the track because once you get those bigger gt500 brakes on there no light wheels will fit. (bogarts, weld's etc). Nitto does make a 555r street drag but they aren't the best for the track especially with the power you plan on making. I'm not sure if even a set of 17" wheel would fit around those brakes and you will want them if you plan on atleast running some mt et streets or m&h's.

If you're going to do the rear swaybar I'd do the front as well the stock ones aren't "fine" IMO if you plan on running her through road courses. I'm not sure what all comes with that bmr lowering package but you might want to look into getting some welded on lower control arm relocations brackets from the rear and a bumpsteer kit for the front. With a 1.5" drop you will be ok but it will help re-align your suspension geometry to where it is supposed to be.

With the power you plan on making you should also look into a forged input shaft as that will be your next weak spot down the line. (Liberty makes some) What kind of shifter do you have? I would highly suggest a MGW or upgrading to a hurst billet if you have the comp plus, with a che k-member brace if you plan on powershifting at high rpm's, that will help eliminate binding. (the motor mounts will help aswell but like don said a k member brace would be better)

With those injectors and the boost you want to make what about the fuel pump? Some go with bap's but I'd suggest using the gt500 fuel pump assembly. Then you'll have no worries.

With the K-member...would it be better to get one that drops the engine 3/4" or just leave it at stock height...?
When I got mine, all they had was the stock height version. If they had the drop style then, I would have gotten it.

I have the FRPP setup and it is very fun at the track. SInce it sounds like money is no object I would just take the car to Griggs and have them do the suspension. After looking further into what I want to do with my car I am wishing I had gone that route. Now I have to consider taking all of it off and parting it out to afford the Griggs set up.
