What have you done to your mustang today?

Fixed the stupid spring assist clutch pedal assembly... You know, the one that can't pull itself back up after you rev it to the red? Basically, after my extensive online sofa chair engineering analysis, there's too much "spring assist" pushing the pedal down. So now when to "force is strong" [said with yoda voice] it will now not have a counter spring pushing it down, and will be able to come back to its start position.

This is the granny push assist spring that came out, now I basically have a GT500 assembly which does not have this stupid spring.

Clutch feels like a real clutch now, and not some granny ass assisted one with a big compression spring pushing the pedal for you

I ended up getting distracted and not getting too much off the car today. I did help my buddy put some new SLP Loudmouths (thanks to longhornd00d) and some corner lights and my set of Raxiom tail lights on. The car now looks and sounds great. I ordered him a Bullitt grille and that should be coming in later this week.

Just finished doing this! Great little mod, I really love the feel of the clutch pedal now.

It's easy man although the clip is a fucking bitch lol. Just follow his DIY write up and you're golden. The clutch feels much better with this mod.

I've read through that. Gizmo and I basically made ours into GT500 pedal setup. I'll do the clutch line next if the pedal sticks again

First off, the new look, sans replacement side "hockey" stripes and foglight insert mesh (picked up at night and raining, so good pics tomorrow perhaps):

I researched their way and they seem to have an older setup without a shaft spring in that write up. Also, after reading a few other forum post by some of the lethal guys it seems.they have it wrong. The spring I removed is a compression spring that pushes the pedal to the floor, they have posted that it is a pull spring in other forums which is incorrect. My way is the right way and provides the driver with a MUCH better clutch pedal assembly like the GT500.

These fucking UDP's. The install was easy, but somehow the socket I needed magically fucking vanished and the pulley puller I got was way too small the first go round.

Roads are soaked so I can't push this panty dropper to the limits and see how much raw powa these UDP's gave me..../sarcasm

Drove it home after getting out of work at 11:30 pm with the windows open on a 24 degree night, and downshifted coming into the downtown area, and got lost in the sound of the exhaust popping. That was a bit of heaven for me.
