How coincidental...I just had my front tint pulled off today. I had 5% on the back three and 50% on the front three. When I got pulled over I got a fix it for it so I just don't want the hassle or non-fix it ticket next time, so the front three came off.

However when I had it put on they did tape my window switches also, very nice of them since I've never had my windows tinted in any cars before.

Also, this might just be a CA thing but I assume it's the same anywhere:

the reason you can't tint front windows is because you must have at least 2 working mirrors to be street legal. Any film counts as obstruction to the mirror so when you tint your rear windshield you "remove" a functioning rear view mirror. Tinting any fronts after that remove the side mirrors as functioning mirrors.

The secret to having everything tinted and get away with it is to not be obvious about it. Good film can reject IR with very mild tinting. I have 55 on the sides and rear three and 80 on the windshield. Subtle, but it made the difference in AC taking 5-10 minutes to make the car cold in the summer to being <1 minute. NY laws are whacky about tint, as in almost anything non-factory is "illegal" but you don't get hassled until you're around 35 or so.

Lol, California is an anomaly, no where else is like it lol, especially not the Republic of Texas.

A tint guy around the corner was telling me about this tint that is transparent but has all that polarization stuff in it and he wanted to do my windshield. Cool idea but not for 200 dollars.

I ended up letting him do my AS1 line and I was supprised at the difference. My rustang is garage kept at home and at work.

I only like tint if it's 5%. I had 35 on my car for like 5 years and ended up hating it, put on 5 and that only lasted one summer until I got popped.. I even had the side windows rolled down lol.

Anyway, stripped the tint and decided it looked fresh as f*ck with naked windows and the interior is so much brighter now.

After having it, it sucks not having it. It's so bright inside and from the outside it looks so much more base. the windshield was 50% so basically smoked, I don't do it for the heat reduction, I did to aesthetically please myself.

I loved it when my car was under my dads name. Car was registered in TX and we lived in VA. Had two layers of 5% all the way on my EP3 and loved it. Just hated backing up at night LOL.

Finally above freezing today so decided to take it out to pick up a package from the post office. Decided I'd swing in for a quick car wash at the local Super Speed Wash and the guy spraying the bumper was very complimentary of the car, and then gave me a refund since my LCAs wouldn't let me in.

Oh well, the gentleman sprayed it down really good with the pressure washer so at least it's not covered in dust. I then proceeded to drive the CRAP out of it once it warmed up. Wife wasn't happy about the ride compared to her '13 Explorer, but I took her to lunch so she was happy.

Thank you, sir! Hopefully when the weather warms up it'll be getting a little love if I finally quit freelancing and get something more stable. Freelancing money is great, but stability is better.

A goodnight from Nashville. Last minute client work keeps me up all night and asleep during the day.

Ryan ...

I agree I much prefer a "Steady" job/employment.

Later,

Wondering wtf to do with my car... Too many ideas popping in my head that it's parked for winter and I can't do shit with it lol

Keep procharger and tune car....

Take procharger off and get wheels tires and put away procharger till cars paid off then save up for built block and add procharger again... Decisions
