Went by sears and got some cut off wheels and a tungsten carbide bit for the rotary tool. Need it for grinding the bosses down on the timing cover re: tvs installation

Has anyone here installed a TVS? I didn't see any step for draining the cooling system on the car. Am I missing something there?

^ Yes, you probably want to drain off some coolant before removing the intake manifold. That will minimize spillage.

Eh? The manifold is a dry manifold if it's like my 3v car. Only thing that spilled out of there was a little oil out of the runners.

Been a while but my Roush (m90) manifold had the thermostat housing in it so it was a wet manifold. I believe the TVS is the same setup.

No it pops right off.

I think the leds are too bright and just floods the entire housing.

Need to figure out how to dim it a little.

Any ideas???

It's 12v led. I tried connecting to a 9v battery and wouldn't even turn on.

Resistors in line to lover the voltage going to them, a quick google search will bring up calculators showing what you need to achieve a specific voltage.
Edit: your 9v may be below the voltage threshold but more likely it doesn't put out enough current to drive the LEDs try my idea just use large enough resistors to dissipate the heat (pm me and I can help you if needed)
