got a Borla X and 3" ota pipes put on. gonna sell the X when I get my boss midpipe. not a fan of the sound personally but it beats just the atak Axlebacks!

also I bought Hawk HP street pads when I got my brembos and (just) the driver side had a squeal out of this world!! like at 40mph you could hear it over the radio exhaust and windows up..so today we put the (pretty worn) factory pads back on that side and poof magic! screech is gone.

my question is what pads to buy to eliminate all screech and reduce as much brake dust as possible in my brembos??

Hawk Ceramic Plus in my opinion. Ceramics are always nice and quiet plus super low dust. Hopefully you can swap em out under warranty?

Decided to tackle the last thing I've always been scared to do

Install new gears

Setting up gears is one of the few things i haven't done before but i want to learn.

As for what i did to my mustang today... I stared at it and thought about starting it and letting it run for a few minutes. Instead i turned around and went back inside haha. Maybe i'll start it tomorrow.

One of those deals I loath.

Did you Mark the orientation of the diff caps? Also do you plan to use the old bearings? If you replace the bearings you need to also replace the cups.

Also hope you checked lash and pre-load before taking it apart. Especially if using old bearings. Shims need to go back in the way they came out also if attempting to use the old ones. Makes sure to replace damaged shims also.. and if only replacing a couple from damage in the process make sure you use same thickness when replacing.

The job really is easier with it out of the car and read everything you can first.

Good luck and be prepared to screw with the pinion shims to gain proper mesh

And I would buy a solid crush washer while you're in there.
