Yup. The $2.50 "stubby mod" :D

Cut the antenna short and put a black rubber cap on it. Bought a small package of caps at the local Advance Auto for $2.50. Have a few spares in case this one dries up and cracks.

Radio reception's still good.

Wired my radar detector into the fuse panel so it comes on with the key. Why doesn't Ford have the power points come on and off with the key? Jeez, what a PITA! Either I'm ham fisted or else the new plastics are a lot weaker, I broke two tabs on two panels pulling them off to gain access. Had the car 2 days and already breaking shit on it. Took 45 minutes to access and locate a keyed fuse circuit that the tap-a-fuse would fit in. I'm sweat soaked to my underwear and feel like I just ran a 26 mile marathon. Do you think they could find a slightly less accessible location for the fuse panel? My elbows don't bend that way and I had to lie upside down in the passenger seat to get my head and shoulders under far enough to get my fingers on the fuses. Holy Hell I need to start hiring people to do this shit!

Wasn't there a keyed fuse circuit on the drivers side panel ? I hooked up my boost gauge lights to one that comes on with key

I wasn't aware of a driver's side panel. I finally found one on the passenger side panel, would help if they indicated as such in the manual.

open the door... look at the end of dash ...look down

Yeah, no fuse panel. There's a panel, but it has a hole in the middle which directs air to the side window vent. On my 09 there was a panel there but that was only to access the bolts holding the dash in place. OBD2 plug is under the dash but no fuse panel.

Just changed the plugs on the 05'. It had a 119,423 miles on the original plugs. I soaked them in Deep Creep and Chemtool mix and let sit over night. Came out this morning as used my electric impact and I didn't break a single one of them. Replaced them with some motorcraft sp514 and hoping for another 100K.

Removed the magnetic Trunk Lid cover and pitched it... washed the car and then did some Wolfgang polish and then paint sealer 3.0. Love the depth in the color but now I notice the orange peel... oh well!

I also put a vinyl cover on the trunk lid and repainted the sides of the faux gas cap black again and added some grabber blue GT letters and painted "Ford" black.

How did you paint in the FORD lettering? I paint like a 4 year old, so my hands aren't going to be steady enough to make it look that good without knowing the tricks.

I masked it off and shot it with caliper paint and clear. I used 1/4" painters tape to go around the letters and then regular masking tape to cover the rest of it.

Shitty Picture of them on but I just couldn't wait. I still need to clean it up and add some serious shine to her.
